Perry Emergency Ambulance,Inc.

Perry Emergency Ambulance, Inc. was founded in 1967 as an
independent volunteer ambulance service, which operates as a non-profit
organization. Perry is the only independent volunteer ambulance service in Wyoming
County. Perry Ambulance provides
service to the Village and Town of Perry and to other communities through the
mutual aid system. Perry Ambulance is a member of Western
Regional EMS and the Wyoming Erie Regional EMS councils. Perry
Ambulance currently operates two fully equipped transport ambulances and is New
York State certified as a paramedic level service provider.
A first response vehicle was added in July 2001.
Perry Ambulance is staffed by career and volunteer New York State Certified
Emergency Medical Technicians at the Basic and Advanced Levels, and Professional
CPR certified Designated Drivers. Numerous
Contributory Members provide valuable support services.
Perry Ambulance is on call through 911 Dispatch 24 hours a day,
every day. The unit responds to
over 500 calls each year from general illness transports to motor vehicle
accidents and fire or disaster standby. Perry
Ambulance primarily operates on revenues generated from service fees and is
recognized by most third party payors. Perry Ambulance
also acknowledges the support of its community for all the volunteer time,
support of fundraising efforts, memorials and contributions.
