FACILITIES
Perry has
two parks located within the village.
The main park is equipped with
a wading pool, fishpond, tennis
courts, playground, softball fields,
basketball courts, and two picnic
pavilions with grills.
The Barney Kalisz Park has
picnic tables, a playground and a
softball field.
A public beach located on the
east shore of Silver Lake provides a
summer swimming location.
The Village Park is home to the
annual Easter Egg hunt and the Youth
Fishing Derby which are both sponsored
by local organizations.
Warm up by the fireplace in the
skate cabin after an evening of ice
skating in the park.
YOUTH
RECREATION PROGRAMS
The village
runs a 5-week Summer Youth Recreation
Program.
The program consists of field
trips, arts & crafts, and sport
& recreation games.
The village park is home to
many baseball and softball leagues sponsored by various area
organizations.
A Youth Center located at the
Village Hall is open for youths after
school during the school year.
SENIOR
CITIZEN RECREATION
The
village provides bus trips for its
senior citizens.
A senior advisory committee,
which meets once a month, helps pick
out the one-day trips.
Advertisements in the local
paper for the various trips provide
information and the opportunity for
the seniors to sign up for these
trips.
The village tries to schedule a
variety of trip destinations for the
varied tastes among its seniors.
