PERRY WORKS! . . .
WHEN IT COMES TO GETTING YOUR COMPANY
THE  ASSISTANCE OR TRAINING IT NEEDS

BUSINESS INCENTIVES AND FINANCING
The Perry Development Committee works closely with the Wyoming County Industrial Development Agency  (WCIDA)  to get companies the financing and incentives they  need.  The following kinds of  financing are available:

The Village of Perry has two designated Empire Zones available for development. Both sites are commercial/industrial zones, served by village water and sewer. Contact Wyoming County Chamber of Commerce Director: James Pierce at (585) 237-0230 for more information.

Industrial Development Bonds and Leases
Project financing can be provided through the issuance of tax exempt and taxable
industrial development bonds. Bond proceeds can be used to fund the purchase of land and buildings, building construction and renovation, and purchase of machinery and equipment. The WCIDA can also provide substantial tax savings to a qualified project through a straight lease agreement.

Tax Incentives
The WCIDA can provide property tax abatements through a payment-in-lieu-of-taxes (PILOT) agreement. A qualified project can also be exempt from sales taxes for a limited period, and mortgage recording taxes.

IDA Low-Interest Loans
The WCIDA also has a direct low-interest loan program that provides partial financing for eligible projects that will create substantial jobs. Short and long-term loans can be used for the purchase, renovation and construction of business property, the purchase of machinery and equipment, and for working capital. Most loans are made with conventional lenders on a joint basis.

TRAINING
Based in Perry, the Wyoming County Employment and Training Office can assemble a
team and financing to provide complete job training programs customized to fit the
specific needs of a business employer. Partial reimbursement of a dislocated worker's
wages are available for on-the-job training. Job training grants are also available through
the state of New York. We will find the grants and apply for them on your behalf!
